Erik Jones is a full-time writer and editor at the Life, Hope & Truth offices in McKinney, Texas.
His main responsibilities include editing and coordinating Insights blog posts and writing a regular column for Discern magazine. He has authored six booklets and Bible study guides:
He was also the coordinator and main writer for the Life, Hope & Truth Bible Study Course. He is passionate about explaining the life-changing truths of the Bible in a way that is logical and clear to readers.
Before working for Life, Hope & Truth, he was a schoolteacher and holds bachelor’s degrees in secondary education and history from the University of Akron. Before moving to Texas to study at Foundation Institute, he taught public school, his last two years teaching U.S. history, government and economics at an early college high school in Ohio. He continues to teach as an adjunct faculty member at Foundation Institute, Center for Biblical Education, and oversees its student housing program.
He has also had the opportunity to help plan and organize two educational tours of Israel and is hoping for a third tour in the near future.
Erik grew up in Akron, Ohio, and remains a loyal Cleveland sports fan. He has had the opportunity to travel widely in recent years, visiting countries in Europe, the British Isles, the Middle East, South America and Asia. His other hobbies include reading, pickleball, golf, hosting karaoke events, being a “foodie” and collecting vinyl record albums.
