Veil Torn

Matthew 27:51

Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split. …

After Jesus died, God performed more amazing miracles. In the temple a thick curtain separated the holy place from the Most Holy Place—representing God’s throne room. Only the high priest could go into the Most Holy Place once a year on the Day of Atonement. But Jesus’ sacrifice made it possible for us to come before the throne of grace at all times (Hebrews 4:16; 10:19-22).

“Only God could have torn the veil from the top” (Nelson’s NKJV Study Bible, note on Matthew 27:51).
