There Is a Way That Seems Right
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.
The Bible simplifies life to a choice of two paths: the way of death, which humans have chosen ever since Adam and Eve’s fateful decision (Genesis 3:1-6), and the way of life. Jesus explained that “wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).
The way to life is the way learned through obeying God’s beneficial laws and taught throughout the Bible. But human society has been deceived by Satan (Revelation 12:9), and we are programmed to think that the wrong way is actually right! It is difficult to go against the stream of humanity rushing toward death, but God encourages everyone to choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19).
This scriptural principle is so important that it is repeated in Proverbs 16:25.
