The True God

1 Corinthians 8:6

Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.

In pointing out that idols and the so-called gods of the pagan world are nothing (1 Corinthians 8:4-5), the apostle Paul emphasized the true God we worship. Paul describes the God family as consisting of both God, the Father, and Jesus Christ, the Son (Romans 1:4).

God reveals Himself to us through this family relationship, which highlights His love as well as His power.
