In a previous Daily Bible Verse Blog post we looked at 1 Chronicles 16:7-9, which began this song of praise to God in celebration of bringing the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem.

Here David encourages us to proclaim the good news of God’s salvation continually. God’s salvation can include the miracles God does to deliver and protect His people now, and it also refers to the ultimate deliverance from the bondage of sin. Through Christ’s sacrifice He saves us from eternal death and makes possible the gift of eternal life in the Kingdom of God!

This is truly good news! Jesus Christ commissioned His Church to preach the gospel—good news—of the Kingdom of God around the world (Matthew 24:14; 28:19-20). We should also fulfill this mission with joy and zeal and eagerness as David did.
