Kings and Priests to Our God
“And have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.”

What does God have in store for His saints, those who faithfully “keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 14:12)? God has called His people to a life—an eternal life—of service (Matthew 20:25-28).
This new song, sung by the four living creatures and the 24 elders, actually describes the jobs God will give those humans who have been “redeemed … to God” by Christ’s blood (Revelation 5:9).
Faithful Christians will be made kings and priests in the Kingdom of God to help Jesus Christ teach God’s way of life and administer it here on earth after His second coming.
Revelation 1:6 makes the same point, as John wrote that Jesus Christ “has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
