You Shall Hide Them in the Secret Place

Psalm 31:19-20

Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men! You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

God is all-powerful! When we have God on our side—or, better stated, when we are on God’s side—we have the ultimate source of protection. If we fear—reverence and stand in awe of—God, we don’t need to fear anything else. God can hide us from any danger and save us from any strife.

David experienced God’s help as he hid from King Saul who wanted to kill him. Other servants of God have been hidden from their enemies (for examples, see 1 Kings 18:10-13; 2 Kings 6:12-19; Jeremiah 36:26; John 8:59). And God prophesies protection for some of His people in the end times (Revelation 3:10; 12:14-16).
