With God All Things Are Possible
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Listen to the "Verse by Verse" episode covering this scripture.
The disciples were under the assumption that rich people would have the advantage in entering God’s Kingdom. After all, the rich could have the time and the money to devote to studying the Scriptures and giving to the poor. But Christ explained that it was “hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven” (verse 23). In fact, He said, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God” (verse 24).
The disciples were astonished. “Who then can be saved?” they asked (verse 25).
The truth is, the conversion of human beings is impossible on the human level. We can’t save ourselves or make ourselves right with God. But nothing is impossible to God. He has all the power in the universe, and in His great love He gave the ultimate sacrifice to make our salvation possible.
Salvation and conversion are miracles from God, with whom all things are possible. See more in our article “Miracles of Jesus.”
