Wise Shall Shine
“And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.”
God showed the prophet Daniel the vast panorama of future history in a few short verses. Verses 2 and 3 describe the resurrection of the dead and the two basic outcomes. The passage continues on into a wonderful eternity for those who are spiritually wise and who help turn many to righteousness.
God is the source of all light (James 1:17), and He wants us to reflect the beauty of His light forever (Matthew 5:14-16; 1 John 1:5-7).
