For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
The apostle Paul quotes this question from Isaiah 40:13. In that passage, Isaiah clearly shows that the greatness of God far surpasses the sum of all of humanity. To God, “The nations are as a drop in a bucket” (Isaiah 40:15).
Yet, Paul says, Spirit-begotten Christians can actually begin to think like Christ! What an incredible, amazing blessing!
How do true followers of Christ have the “mind of Christ”? Through the gift of the Holy Spirit, Jesus said He and His Father will come to one who loves Him and keeps His word “and make Our home with him” (John 14:23).
Paul encourages us to “let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5). He also wrote, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20).
