Those Who Hope in His Mercy

Psalm 33:18-19

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

God watches out for His children. He loves them and wants to rescue and protect them. He appreciates their attitude of awe and respect for His power and trusting hope in His loving mercy.

Psalm 147:11 also shows how God looks on such a person: “The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy.” God delights in this attitude of reverence and expectant hope.
