The Heritage of Nations
He has declared to His people the power of His works, in giving them the heritage of the nations.
Psalm 111 praises God for His wonderful works for His people. God’s promises to Abraham were passed down to his descendants, the 12 tribes of Israel; and God gave them many of the blessings He had promised the patriarchs. This includes the heritage of the Promised Land.
However, the full greatness God had promised was not given to ancient Israel. For example, Abraham’s great-grandson Ephraim was promised to become “a multitude of nations” (Genesis 48:19), which had not happened before the nation was taken into captivity.
A careful examination of the prophecies and history shows that the Almighty God has fulfilled and will continue to fulfill all of His promises. For more about this, see “12 Tribes of Israel Today: Who Are They?”
