The Fear of the LORD Is to Hate Evil

Proverbs 8:13  

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.

When we revere and love God, we will love what He loves and hate what He hates. “Coming to wisdom requires coming to God, and coming to God means turning away from all that God hates—evil, pride, arrogance, misbehavior, and perverse speech” (NKJV Study Bible comment on Proverbs 8:12-13).
