The Desire of the Righteous Will Be Granted

Proverbs 10:24

The fear of the wicked will come upon him, and the desire of the righteous will be granted.

Too often the wicked don’t consider the consequences of their actions, but “at other times they cannot but be haunted with just fears, and those fears shall come upon them” (Matthew Henry’s Commentary, comment on Proverb 10:24).

Those who repent and seek to follow Jesus Christ’s example of right living will enjoy the blessings of God’s way of life now, as well as the incredible inheritance and pleasures that are beyond what we can even imagine in the future (Psalm 16:11; Romans 8:16-18; 1 Corinthians 2:9).
