Slothful in His Work

Proverbs 18:9

He who is slothful in his work is a brother to him who is a great destroyer.

Laziness can have the same result as someone who purposefully destroys what he has, though the results of slothfulness may take a little longer. As Matthew Henry put it, “One scatters what he has, the other lets it run through his fingers.”
