Mercy and Truth

Psalm 25:10-11

All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. For Your name’s sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.

God is true and merciful, so His way of life is also full of mercy and truth to those who follow them. God’s laws are given for our benefit and produce good results.

But we all fall short, and David returns to the subject of his own sin. He recognizes how great sin is—that it required the death of Jesus Christ to redeem us from its penalty. Our Creator God, for the sake of His mercy, removes sin with even greater forgiveness.
