His Anger Is but for a Moment

Psalm 30:5

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

The Bible makes clear that God’s anger is aroused by sin—by breaking His perfect and beneficial laws. He is slow to anger; but when His righteous anger is provoked, He never loses control and never loses sight of His loving purpose for creating us. God wants us to become His children and enjoy eternal life in His Kingdom! From that perspective, all the suffering of this world will seem but a night, and true joy will last forever.
