Let All Be Done With Love

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.

The apostle Paul wraps up this letter of correction to the Corinthians with strong exhortation to watch for the return of Christ and to stand fast in the true doctrines. “Be brave may also be translated ‘play the man,’ emphasizing not only bravery but maturity” (Nelson’s NKJV Study Bible, note on 1 Corinthians 16:13-14).

Doing everything with love harkens back to Paul’s beautiful Love Chapter, 1 Corinthians 13, which describes God’s essential motivation, and the one we must seek to follow.
