Infallible Proofs and Focus on the Kingdom

Acts 1:3

… to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

The Bible records 10 or 11 appearances of Christ to the disciples, and here Luke tells us these gave them infallible proofs of His resurrection.

Think about Thomas, who said he wouldn’t be convinced unless he put his hand in the prints of the nails and into Jesus’ side. And what about the time Paul tells about when over 500 people saw the resurrected Jesus Christ! Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:6 that many of those eyewitnesses were still alive when he wrote.

And what was Jesus Christ’s central topic during the 40 days? He taught them more about the Kingdom of God. Jesus Christ was born to be a King, and He will return as the King of Kings in the Kingdom of God.

The Kingdom of God should also be our focus too. See more about this in our section on the “Kingdom of God.”
