I Can Do All Things

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Paul’s letter to the Philippians is a positive and uplifting one. He was thankful to the Philippians for a gift they had sent to help care for his needs (4:10). He was grateful for their thoughtfulness and generosity, even though he explains that he had learned to be content with little or much.

In this context he explains the source of his strength and contentment. Jesus Christ provides the spiritual power to deal with trials and to do His work. If we trust in the all-powerful God, we, too, will be able to do all things through Christ who strengthens us!
