His Dominion Is an Everlasting Dominion
“Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.”
Listen to the "Verse by Verse" episode covering this scripture.
After his vision of terrible beasts, representing tyrannical human governments, Daniel saw a vision of God’s throne room in heaven (Daniel 7:1-10). Then Daniel saw “One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven!” (verse 13). Jesus Christ referred to Himself as the Son of Man, and several verses show that He will return with the clouds (Matthew 24:30; Acts 1:9-11; Revelation 1:7).
Daniel’s description of God the Father giving Jesus Christ authority to establish the wonderful Kingdom of God on the earth is paralleled in Revelation 11:15: “Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!’”
