He Teaches Sinners in the Way

Psalm 25:8-9

Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way.

God’s goodness and uprightness, described here, include more than just His righteousness and holy perfection, for just considering those would reveal the huge gulf between the righteous God and sinful man (Isaiah 59:1-2).

Also included are God’s mercy and His promises. Through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, the gulf between God and man can be bridged, and He can guide and teach those sinners who humbly turn to Him and repent.
