Fruit of the Spirit Listed

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Listen to the "Verse by Verse" episode covering this scripture.

God’s Holy Spirit is given to those who repent of breaking God’s holy laws and are baptized and have hands laid on them by a minister of God (Acts 2:38; 8:14-17).

The Holy Spirit provides a spiritual connection to the mind of God, allowing us to develop the same thoughts and attitudes as God has. The fruit of the Spirit is a reflection of God’s mind in us, helping us think and act as God does.

It can be a very helpful and meaningful Bible study to look up in a concordance each of the characteristics listed in the fruit of the Spirit and read other passages that describe this fruit and how to apply it.
