Dishonest Scales Are an Abomination
Proverbs 11:1
Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is His delight.
God is a God of truth and honesty, and He cares about truth in all aspects of life. “A false balance is here put for all manner of unjust and fraudulent practices in dealing with any person, which are all an abomination to the Lord” (Matthew Henry’s Commentary, comment on Proverbs 11:1).
