Death Spread to All Men
Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.
As we saw in our commentaries on 1 Corinthians 15:22 and Romans 3:23, Adam and Eve chose to sin and thus to receive the penalty of sin—death. All humanity has followed their lead, with each individual falling under the influence of Satan and his snares, and so death now reigns over humanity.
Thankfully, God has provided a solution!
