By Him All Things Were Created
Colossians 1:16
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

God and the Word (who became Jesus Christ) together planned the creation of the angelic world as well as the physical universe. It was then the Word who “spoke, and it was done” (Psalm 33:9; see also verse 6). Nothing was created without Him, showing Christ’s preeminence over all creation.
