Those Who Are With Him Are Called, Chosen and Faithful
“The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
In the end time just before Jesus Christ’s return, 10 leaders in a final resurrection of the Roman Empire will give their authority for a short time to the evil leader called “the beast.” They will be influenced by Satan and his demons to actually dare to fight against the returning Jesus Christ! They will be no match for Him and His followers.
Who are these followers who are “called, chosen, and faithful”? The apostle Paul tells us that when Jesus Christ returns, He will “descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
Called, chosen and faithful members of God’s Church, whether dead or alive at Christ’s coming, will rise to follow and serve Him.
The prophet Zechariah continues the story of that momentous day: “Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives” (Zechariah 14:3-4). The saints will assist Christ and will help Him set up the wonderful Kingdom of God on this earth.
