Blessings From Fearing God

Psalm 128:4

Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the LORD.

This principle is one of many themes in the Bible. A deep respect for God and His authority in our lives will benefit us in countless ways.

The preceding verses touch on some of these blessings—enjoying the fruits of one’s labor, a happy marriage and a house full of children.

God gives special attention—and blessings—to those who realize and acknowledge that He is the source of all they have and who strive to live His way of life (Isaiah 66:1-2; James 1:17).

And Jesus Christ said the knowledge of God’s truth is one of the greatest blessings anyone can have (Matthew 13:16-17).
