Blessed Is He Whose Sin Is Covered

Psalm 32:1-2

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

King David, a man after God’s own heart, recognized the great blessing of being forgiven. Without God’s mercy, made possible by Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, we would all be headed toward the just punishment for our sins—eternal death.

But our loving God has offered the blessing of forgiveness and wiping our slate clean if we repent and accept Christ’s sacrifice. We must turn fully to God and seek His help to remove the natural deceitfulness of our hearts (Jeremiah 17:9-10).
