Being Transformed Into the Same Image

2 Corinthians 3:18

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, his face glowed! This was so frightening to the Israelites that he had to wear a veil over his face when he talked to them.

The apostle Paul uses this as an analogy to show that while the ancient Israelites’ minds were blinded, Christians can have that veil taken away (2 Corinthians 3:14-16). Christians, through the gift of the Holy Spirit, can have the spiritual vision to behold “the glory of the Lord”—and not only that, but to actually be changed to begin to take on that glory themselves!
