A Sure Hope

Romans 5:5

And hope does not make ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which has been given to us [Darby Bible Translation].

The Christian hope is in being glorified—that is, becoming like Jesus Christ (1 John 3:2-3). This hope is not just a wish or a whim. It is sure and will not be disappointed, because God is faithful. He pours out His love through the Holy Spirit, and that produces the fruit of love in us.
