Greg Sargent has pastored churches throughout the United States for 50 years. A native of Montana, he graduated from Ambassador College in Bricket Wood, England, in 1966. One week after graduation, Greg married Marian Ecker, his constant companion throughout his life.
He has served and pastored churches in Canada, New York, New Mexico, Colorado, California, Ohio, Texas, New Jersey and presently serves in Columbia, Missouri, and Kansas City, Kansas. Greg and Marian have two children and four grandchildren.
Raised in a Protestant church, Greg never questioned traditional teachings until he was challenged with his belief about going to heaven. By studying all the scriptures, he proved we do not go to heaven when we die, but rather Jesus Christ will establish God’s Kingdom on the earth.
Greg believes in questioning every assumption one makes concerning religion. Religious beliefs must make sense. As a church pastor, he challenges young and old alike to prove all things, obey the truth and hold fast what is good. Writing is one of Greg’s most rewarding tasks.
Both Greg and Marian have remained very active throughout the years. Their most enjoyable pastime is spending time with their children and grandchildren. They enjoy reading, outdoor activities, participating in sports and travel.
