A Sure Hope (Romans 5:3-5)

Jeremy Lallier discusses Romans 5:3-5—“And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit [which] was given to us.”

NOTE: While most Bible translations refer to the Holy Spirit as a “who,” the Bible itself describes God’s Spirit as a “what.” Read more in “Is the Holy Spirit a Person?”.
