Schools Avoid It, Do You?
School is just about to begin here in the United States. Kids are frantically preparing for, or trying to avoid thinking about, the new school year and how everything will go.
And what about parents? How are they doing as the school year approaches? Probably about the same, though perhaps for different reasons.
What will NOT be taught in most schools this year? And that is actually one of the most important things to learn? It will in some ways be avoided, in other ways subtly—or not so subtly—taught against!
It doesn’t take long to figure out. It is in the very first verse of the Holy Bible and is a theme throughout the Bible, where we learn: God created the heavens and the earth!
This subject is one that is commonly avoided even by Christians—that God, the Almighty One, is the Creator of all things. That He is the designer, the giver of life, the sustainer, the One who has an incredible plan for all people, as Jesus Christ—through whom all was created—taught and is still teaching though His disciples this very day.
And to dig a bit deeper, any who don’t believe that Jesus Christ is the One through whom all things were created, don’t really know who Jesus Christ really is or what He really taught.
Since the very Garden of Eden, Satan has been leading people away from and deceiving people about God the Father and the real Jesus Christ as much as he is allowed to do until Christ returns. And again, one of the most important things for all to learn is the FACT that God—through Jesus Christ Himself—is the Creator.
Parents need to know the importance of emphasizing what will be de-emphasized or emphasized against in the upcoming school year. Students need to be on guard against the deception that those who don’t really believe in God—the Creator—will be trying to achieve in school this year—every year.
What to do? Enjoy the creation! Appreciate the creation! Realize that God is the Creator! That Jesus Christ is the One through whom all things were created—and that God has an awesome plan for you, and all people, as part of His very family—the family of God!
As the school year begins and education is provided, let’s all remember a subject more important than perhaps anything else that can be learned. “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
