Harold Rhodes was a pastor of the Church of God, a Worldwide Association, who died in 2021. He was ordained a minister in 1969 and served congregations in Missouri, Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama and Florida.
Harold was happily married to his lovely wife, Loree, for more than 50 years. They had two children and four grandchildren.
He enjoyed writing and wrote a number of articles for the Life, Hope & Truth website.
Harold was first introduced to the Church of God by his father who had listened to Herbert Armstrong’s radio programs since the early 1940s. His interest in studying the Bible dated back to his early teen years. He remembered reading the Church of God’s literature to his dad (at his dad’s request), for hours at a time. This reading out loud exercise proved to be a great help later in life when speaking and giving sermons.
Over the years, he enjoyed such activities as playing the guitar, hunting and fishing—especially fishing.
