Jesus Will Come in Like Manner as You Saw Him Go

Acts 1:11

Who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

The book of Acts begins with the resurrected Jesus Christ appearing to His disciples for 40 days. At the end of this time He miraculously rose into the air and disappeared into the clouds.

The disciples must have stood there, open-mouthed, watching this miracle and already missing their great Friend and Master.

That’s when two angels appeared and reassured them that Christ would come again. Though He did not come in their lifetime, His second coming is certain and provides solid hope to Christians to this day. He will return as the King of Kings, establishing the Kingdom of God on earth.
