Great Shall Be the Peace of Your Children

Isaiah 54:13-14

All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children. In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.

Listen to the "Verse by Verse" episode covering this scripture.

Of all the promises of the coming Kingdom of God, these are some of the most comforting and reassuring.

Parents agonize over the safety and education of their children, but God promises to teach the children Himself and to give them great peace! Freedom from oppression, fear and terror are priceless blessings we would all love to provide for our children.

Jesus Christ quoted from this passage in John 6. After saying, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him,” Jesus said, “It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me” (John 6:44-45).

During this present age, the Church called by God is a little flock ( Luke 12:32 ); but when Christ returns, the veil will be lifted that prevents mankind from understanding spiritual truths ( Isaiah 25:7-8 ). All will be able to come to Christ.
